Name: – Mr. Pratapsinh Kakasaheb Desai

 

Born on 27th August 1963 in the family of freedom fighter & social reformers. His family has given 5 freedom fighters to this nations. His father Kranitiveer Kakasaheb Desai eminent freedom fighter. Britishers announced a cash price of Rs. 5200/- to catch him dead or alive in 1942.

Education –

*          Primary & Secondary in Kolhapur District.

*          B.E. (Mech)             – University of Mysore.

*          M.E. (Mech)           – Shivaji University.

*          M.B.A.                     –  Shivaji University.

*          Pursuing PHD in Shivaji University.

Area of Research – 

·        Design & Development of Femur bone prosthesis. 

·        Publish numbers of research papers at national & international level.

            * Delivered no. of key note lectures on India & abroad.

            * Attended & Participated in various international meets in various countries like US,

 Argentina, China, Chicago, Japan, Pore, Dubai.

 

Social Work–

            Associated with various teachers association on state of Maharashtra.

·        Working in clause association with AIFPTO All India Federation for Polytechnic Teachers Association.

·        Convener of Maharashtra state technical teachers association.

·        President of Mouni Vidhyapeeth staff association.

·        Representing Indian Global Deans Council.

·        Chairman Indian Deans Engg. Council.

·        Raised no. of successful agitation for the teacher’s rights.

·        Successfully advocated the issue of granting Pay-Band – 4 to all engg. Colleges and polytechnics teachers.

·         Presently working on the issue of salary of teachers in self-financed engg. Institutes to be paid by respective state govts.

·        Working on various Govt. committees & task teams constituted by Govt. of Maharashtra.

·        Actively involved in various Social & Political Movements in the state of Maharashtra.

           

 ·        2 terms Executive Council of ISTE New Delhi.

·        1 term VICE PRESIDENT of ISTE New Delhi.

·        Now Youngest ever PRESIDENT of ISTE New Delhi.
